In ‘One Look in a Thousand Faces’, the visual artist Sergio Francisco Rolim invites us to go on a journey through an imaginary world in which human figures, masks and portraits create a special setting for scenes from daily life. Inspired by the artist’s critical perception of the world, the works reveal nuanced aspects of past or even imagined experiences. Sergio’s technique  is characterized by the spontaneity of his brushstrokes. His work is original, privileging sensibility, attention to detail and the delicateness typical of paintings elaborated in oil on canvas.

Sergio Rolim is originally from Caxambu and has spent part of his childhood in the city of Chapeco, in the State of Santa Catarina. Since the 70s he has been based in Curitiba where he created most of his artistic work. In addition to countless exhibitions throughout Brazil, Sergio has also participated in important joint exhibitions in New York, Paris and Cannes.
