Mass Movement: A programme of music and dance

When:21 Sep, 7.30pm
Cost:£15, Concessions £10.00 on door; includes a glass of wine

A programme of music and dance that celebrates art is the expression of man’s pleasure in labour.  Includes the premiere of two new contemporary dance pieces – the first inspired by Janie Morris, wife of William and muse to the Pre-Raphaelites; the second inspired by the energetic Latin folk dance tunes of Ariel Ramirez’ 1964 Misa Criolla where art and praise combine – a guiding principle of the Arts & Crafts movement.

In addition, Holy Trinity Choir will sing Will Todd’s Missa Brevis and a selection of sacred and secular music from Latin America. The programme will be performed in a unique collaboration between community dancers, Chronicles, from The Place and the joint voices of Holy Trinity choir and Holy Trinity Community Choir.

Part of Holy Trinity Sloane Street Arts & Crafts Festival 2019, taking place at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Street, describedby Sir John Betjeman as ‘the cathedral of the Arts & Crafts.’
